ÁRPÁD GEORGE: From the OFFICE of the PRESIDENT The William Penn Association, a sister Hungarian National Fraternal Benefit Society held its 29th General Convention on September 10- 12 at the William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pa. The HRFA was represented by its four national officers. At the General Convention banquet held on September 11th, President George extended the greetings and best wishes of the HRFA to the William Penn Association. The appreciation of the representation was expressed by the re-elected National President: Mr. Elmer Charles who is also a member of the Calvin Synod’s Council, Conference of the United Church of Christ. On September 3rd the installation service of the Rt. Rev. Desmond Parragh into the Bishop position of Calvin Synod, Conference of the United Church of Christ was held at the Bethlen Chapel, Ligonier, Pa. Pa. 15658. vice and distributed the sacramental elements. Thanks of appreciation were expressed to the National Presbyters Conference for its cooperation and participation. Following the service the Bishop’s reception was held in the print shop and the banquet was held in the dining room of the Bethlen Home. The clergy and the laymen were guests of the Bethlen Home and the HRFA. Rev. Paul Kovács, president of the National Hungarian Reformed Ministers Conference on September 4th conducted a panel on the plans to preserve the archive material of the Bethlen Home. The introductory statement was made by President George and responses were given by Bishops Abraham and Parragh. After a long and constructive discussion the ministers were pleased with the assurance that all the archive material will be shipped to the Hungarian United Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, Ohio and will be stored temporarily in a locked room separately from any other material on the third floor of the Calvin Center building. Following the completion of the library - meeting room, planning should he made about the future processing of the archive material. At the Board of Directors meeting of the Bethlen Home held on September 5th the following building projects were approved: 1) Remodeling the former print shop on the ground level to a museum, library, archive and a meeting room with 170 seating capacity; the second floor to he remodeled for the office of the Bethlen Home. The estimated cost is $100,000. We hope to hold the 1980 Convention in the meeting room on June 23, 1980. 2) Building a STATEMENT OF OWNERSHIP MANAGEMENT AND CIRCULATION Title of Publication — Fraternity.
