The President entertained the motion that editors, respectively representatives of the two church magazines — Magyar Egyház and Reformátusok Lapja — who have been invited as guests of the Convention, according to standing tradition, be appointed Recording Secretaries of the Convention. UPON PROPER MOTION, DR. ANDREW HARSÁNYI, EDITOR OF “MAGYAR EGYHÁZ”, AND THE REV. JOSEPH MARSALKÓ, FROM THE STAFF OF “REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJA”, WERE ELECTED RECORDING SECRETARIES OF THE CONVENTION. 10. The Secretary read the congratulatory telegram of Elmer Charles, President of the William Penn Fraternal Association. 11. The President invited all delegates and guests to a Dedication Banquet to be held the same evening at the Marriott Motor Hotel. 12. At 11:05 A. M. Vice President Dr. Béky occupied the chair. 13. The Convention heard the report of the President which was given in Hungarian. Full texts of all reports, both in English and in Hungarian, were previously distributed. THE CONVENTION UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE PRESIDENT’S REPORT AS A WHOLE AND REFERRED IT TO THE RESPECTIVE COMMITTEE FOR FURTHER DISCUSSION. 14. In the course of the President’s report the Convention paid a one-minute silent tribute to the officers and officials of the Federation who died during the last quadrennium; to those included in the President’s report the names of the following were added from the floor: Rev. Louis Varga, János Farkas, György Kovács, Pál József Kiss, Imre Pozsgay, Imre Perczel. 15. President Borshy returned to the chair at 11:45 A. M. 16. The Convention heard the report of the Secretary in Hungarian. THE CONVENTION UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE SECRETARY’S REPORT AS A WHOLE AND REFERRED IT TO THE RESPECTIVE COMMITTEE FOR FURTHER DISCUSSION. 17. The President recessed the Convention at 12:30 P. M. for lunch. 18. The Convention reconvened at 2:22 P. M. and heard the Treasurer’s report which was delivered in English. The Convention dispensed with the reading of detailed figures and heard a summarization only. THE CONVENTION UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE TREASURER’S REPORT AS A WHOLE AND REFERRED IT TO THE RESPECTIVE COMMITTEE FOR FURTHER DISCUSSION. 19. The Convention heard the report of the Controller which was delivered in Hungarian. Here again the Convention voted to hear the main figures only. The Controller illustrated his report with pertinent charts. THE CONVENTION UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE CONTROLLER’S REPORT AS A WHOLE AND REFERRED IT TO THE RESPECTIVE COMMITTEE FOR FURTHER DISCUSSION.
