Volume XLI APRIL 1963 Number 4 JOSEPH KECSKEMETHY: ITEMS OF INTEREST WORKERS' CONFERENCE AND A TESTIMONIAL On March 3, 1963, two important events took place in the Cleveland headquarters of our Federation. In the course of the afternoon, we held the annual organizational meeting with our district and sectional managers, and the regular workshop for our full-time fieldmen, as well as for the branch managers of Cleveland and vicinity. After our fraternal meetings we attended a testimonial dinner in honor of Mr. Joseph Dula who, after sixteen years of faithful service as section and office manager of our Cleveland branches, retired on March 1st at the age of 75. Both occasions were sponsored by the officers and the Women’s Committee of Branch 4, and were attended by all four supreme officers of our Federation. The highlights of the day were the following: During the afternoon meeting the President, Secretary, Treasurer and Controller of the Federation gave their annual reports and made their remarks pertinent to the work of their particular departments. After reading the statistical analysis of the individual production and conservation results of the branches and the Cleveland District as a whole, the National Secretary presented the new work program for the year 1963, reviewed the new insurance plans effectuated in the latter part of 1962, and introduced the following newly appointed section managers: László Kernes, John Nazsa and Andrew Dono of Cleveland; Joseph E. Benedek, Jr., of Warren, Ohio, and vicinity; John Komives of Columbus, Ohio, and vicinity, and Dezső Melegh, branch manager of Dayton, Ohio. After the profitable and informative afternoon session the members of the Workers’ Conference attended Mr. Dula’s testimonial, which followed at 6:30. Many other friends came to honor him also, particularly from amongst the membership of the First Hungarian Reformed Church, which is Mr. Dula’s congregation. After Dr. Stephen Szabo’s invocation, among those who extended their greetings and good wishes to the honored guest were the Rev. George E. K. Borshy, President; Rev. Joseph Kecskemethy, Secretary; Mr. Paul St. Miklossy, Treasurer, and
