2 FRATERNITY Mr. László Eszenyi, Controller. Mr. Joseph Benedek, Field Supervisor of the Western Territory, including the Cleveland District, who, with the Women’s Committee of Branch 4, headed by Mrs. Stephen Balogh, co-chairman, was in charge of arrangements, presented the guest of honor with the gift of the local section managers and the office staff. The National Secretary, who acted as toastmaster for the occasion, enumerated in his greeting Mr. Dula’s many fine attributes, and presented him with the Federation’s gifts, as well as a certificate of recognition for honorable and faithful service. After honoring him in person, we are happy to take this opportunity to extend our cordial greetings and best wishes to Mr. Dula. OTHER FRATERNAL MEETINGS — PRESENTATION OF OUR SLIDES Despite the inclement weather of winter’s first months and the exacting work preparing for the annual meeting of the Supreme Council, which as a rule delay our visits to outlying territories, we have been fortunate in being able to hold other meetings similar to the one held in Cleveland, with the presentation of our slides. During this year, our meetings and programs on the European trip were held in the following places: In February: at Washington, D. C., when the Home Office Branch 300 held its annual election of officers; at Whiting, Indiana, where the Chicago District meeting was also held, and then in Hammond, Indiana, where the clergy of the churches in that area held a Fraternity Evening at which our Secretary showed the slides to an audience of several hundred members and friends. In March: at Wallingford, Connecticut, in connection with the New York and Connecticut District meeting. In April: at Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the Laurel Avenue Church on the occasion of the church women’s annual dinner, when the National Secretary and his wife conducted the program. ANOTHER EUROPEAN GROUP TRIP At the previously mentioned annual meeting of Washington’s Branch 300, after formally acknowledging the success of the European trip in 1962, and after accepting and approving the branch’s financial report, the meeting resolved that it would conduct an European Group Trip again in 1963. This year’s trip will start July 26, with return date on August 23. At this writing, we would like to inform our participating members of the following: 1. The first step is to obtain the passport and certificate of vaccination. The certificate is good for three years. Those who do not have such a certificate should arrange for one with the family physician. 2. The second important step is to forward the money for the cost of the trip, for the visa and special arrangement fee. The local representatives will be glad to furnish all other information.
