8 FRATERNITY Church of Sharon, Pa. She wants to become a school teacher and will enter Edinboro State College (Pennsylvania) in the fall. STEPHEN ZOLTÁN KECSKEMETHY, son of our Secretary and Mrs. Joseph Kecskemethy, was graduated on the honor roll from Wood- row Wilson High School in Washington, D. C. He received special recognition from the District of Columbia Music Educators’ Association as an outstanding instrumentalist and an award as second prize winner in the D. C. essay contest sponsored by the Civitan Club. The essay, “Communism Versus Democracy As a Way of Life”, was judged, among others, by the Honorable J. Edgar Hoover, Director of the F. B. I. Stephen, whose instrument is the violin, was concert master of the Woodrow Wilson Orchestra; he organized a string quartet, which group worked together four years, appearing in public on many occasions, including a Senate dinner and television; he was a member of the George Washington University Symphony Orchestra. He held membership in the Key Club. Stephen will continue his music education at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester (New York), starting in the fall. He is a member of the Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church, active in youth work and in the Chapel Choir. YOLANDA IRENE BENEDEK, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Benedek, of Cleveland, 0., is a graduate of John Adams High School where she participated in numerous activities. She was president of the Honor Study Hall for one year, secretary for two years, was an officer of the Central Committee, Guidance Counselor Secretary, office aide, and a member of the Future Teachers of America. She had perfect attendance, was on the merit roll and on the citizenship roll throughout her three years at Adams. She was in the upper third of her class of 422. “Sistie”, as she is called by her family and friends, is a very faithful member of the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Cleveland and a veritable ‘spark plug” in the youth program of the church, extending her exceptional talents into synodical youth work through her activities in the summer camps of our Magyar Synod. She is a talented pianist and is now studying the organ. Irene will enter the teaching field and will begin her college education at Kent University next school term. Her father is the Field Force Supervisor in our Western Territory.
