In addition to her college preparatory academic curriculum, she gave of her talents in the Bayside High School orchestra, in which group she played the violin. She also found time to devote to cheer leading in her school. Eileen will continue her education in Queens College for a required academic degree before entering nurses’ training. She is a member of the Bayside Methodist Church, active in the choir, a regular Sunday School pupil, and active not only in the local church’s work, but in the district work also. Her father, a member of our Federation, has been on the faculty of the Forest Hills High School for over 20 years. ★ ★ ★ While we convey our best wishes to these admirable young citizens on reaching maturity and aiming for higher educational goals, we also extend our congratulations to their loyal parents, who provided the necessary physical and spiritual nurture for them through this milestone. We are sure that in the years to come, these fine young men and women will become as loyal and conscientious in providing for their own families as their parents have been. Our hope is that through higher education, which means greater insight and appreciation, they will emulate their parents in loyalty to their homes, to their faith, to their church, to society and to the great institutions their forebears helped to establish and build, among them the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. Through their diligent work and sacrificial service, they will assure the preservation and continued progress of their precious heritage.
