FRATERNITY 15 No. 9, concerning the change of the Federation’s name without containing reference to any religion or nationality, the Committee recommended the rejection of this proposal coming from Branch No. 373. The Committee’s recommendation for rejection was unanimously adopted by the Convention. 63. The report of the Committee on Finances was presented by its secretary, Rev. Jenő Galántay. (Exhibit “P”.) Rev. Árpád Beretz was the chairman, Mr. Zoltán Szabó (Branch 373) the vice chairman and Rev. Jenő Galántay the secretary. The following recommendations of the Committee on Finances were voted on: No. 1. The Committee concluded that the ledgers and books are kept very clear and punctual, and the handling of the bonds, stocks, mortgage loans and cash assets correspond exactly to the reports presented by both offices; therefore, the Committee recommends that the Convention release Imre Király, Treasurer, and László Eszenyi, Comptroller, from their respective official responsibilities for the years 1956, 1957, 1958 and 1959. The Convention unanimously adopted the recom­mendation. No. 2. The Committee recommends that the Convention express its appreciation and vote thanks to Imre Király, Treasurer, and László Eszenyi, Comptroller, and to their respective staffs; also to Jack H. Zeitlin, Accountant, for their punctual and expert work during the past four years. The Convention unanimously adopted the recom­mendation. No. 3. The Committee recommends that the use of the Pre­liminary Medical Report forms in the Sick Benefit Department be discontinued. The Convention unanimously adopted the recom­mendation. No. 4. The Committee recommends that in the future only $8,000 be transferred to the Pension Fund. The Convention unanimously adopted the recom­mendation. No. 5. The Committee recommends that the Convention do not support the introduction of an annual assessment of members for the Bethlen Home building project; however, the Committee em­phatically recommends that a vigorous campaign be set in motion for soliciting voluntary contributions. The Convention unanimously adopted the recom­mendation. 66. At this point President Borshy requested the Convention to concur with the idea that the next President lead this campaign.
