FRATERNITY 11 THIRD DAY Wednesday, June IS, 1960 40. The Rev. Imre Bertalan led the Convention in the opening morning devotion at 9:00 A. M., remembering the fateful Peace Treaty of Trianon which dismembered Hungary 40 years ago. For one minute the Convention stood in silent prayer, asking God’s help for the suf­fering Hungarian people. 41. The President opened the session of the third day at 9:11 A. M. 42. The Recording Secretary, Dr. László Harangi, read the minutes of the session of the second day, and also read the roll call. The Convention, with some corrections and addi­tions, approved the minutes, and Dr. Andrew Kosa, Rev. James Nagy and Zoltán Szabó (Br. 373) attested the same. 43. The President announced that the alternate delegate from Branch No. 369, Mr. István Almásy, has arrived and appointed him to be a member of the Committee on Business Administration. 44. The President extended a welcome to Rev. Dr. László Vatai, a visiting guest from Buffalo, N. Y. 45. The President announced that unless any of the three committees is ready to report earlier the Convention will reconvene at 5:30 P. M. The President recessed the Convention at 9:45 A. M. 46. The Convention was reconvened by the President at 5:35 P. M. with hymn singing. 47. The Secretary led the delegation of the William Penn Fraternal Association into Fraternity Hall; they were given a standing ovation by the Convention. President Kálmán Révész extended the Association’s fraternal greetings to the Convention. President Borshy welcomed the delegation and expressed the wish to the effect that the executive of­ficers of the Hungarian fraternal associations revive the old custom of meeting annually for an exchange of ideas of mutual interest. Then President Borshy introduced the members of the delegation, namely: Kálmán Révész, President; Albert Stelkovics, Secretary; John Szabó, Comp­troller; Elmer Charles, Field Manager; Gyula Somogyi, Treasurer; Gyula Lénárt, Director; Géza Bányácsky, Legal Counsellor. 48. The President requested information concerning the progress of the committees’ work. Due to the fact that some of the committees still needed an additional hour to complete their report, the President announced that the session of the fourth day will begin at 10 A. M. instead of 9 A. M. 49. Evening devotions were led by the Rev. Emil Nagy. 50. The President recessed the Convention at 6:37 P. M. until 10 A. M. Thursday morning.
