12 FRATERNITY 51. At 8 P. M. a program of entertainment was presented in Fra­ternity Hall. Hungarian actress Zita Szeleczky offered a recital, “400 Years of Hungarian Poetry”, and composer and pianist Miklós Thegze- Gerber played and sang his own compositions. Additional Hungarian songs were rendered by Mr. Mihály Biró, Rev. Imre Bertalan and Rev. Joseph Kecskeméthy. Rev. Imre Bertalan acted as master of ceremonies. Words of welcome to Miss Szeleczky were warmly expressed by President Borshy. Closing remarks were made by Rev. Béla Szigethy. The singing of the “Isten Áldd Meg a Magyart” closed the program. Gábor Csordás led the Convention in morning devo­tions after it was reconvened by the President at 10:16 A. M. 53. The roll call and minutes of the session of the third day were read by the Recording Secretaries. The Convention approved the minutes as read, and Rev. Mátyás Daróczy, Béla Egry and Rev. Zoltán Szabó attested the same. 54. The President read greetings in verse sent by the Rev. László Szabó from Hawaii; also conveyed the greetings of Dr. István Haller, president of the Hungarian Reformed Presbyters’ Association. 55. Rev. Gábor Csordás, secretary of the Administrative Committee, presented the committee’s report. Rev. Imre Bertalan was chairman and Rev. Tibor Toth vice chairman of the committee. (Exhibit “K”.) 56. The Administrative Committee presented the following recom­mendations: A) The President’s report be accepted in detail and the Con­vention express its appreciation for the President’s leadership and grant him release from his responsibilities. The Convention unanimously accepted the recom­mendation. B) The Committee’s recommendation in regard to the $1 per member per year for four years extra contribution toward the Bethlen Home building project was, after President Borshy’s de­tailed explanation, referred to the time when the same subject will be discussed in connection with the Financial Committee’s report.
