10 FRATERNITY JOSEPH KECSKEMETHY: FEDERATION NEWS AND EVENTS Our President and the Secretary attended the National Fra­ternal Congress in Miami, Fla., from Sept. 29 to October 2. The Secretary visited Mrs. Margaret Peter, Manager of Branch 372 of Miami, and Mrs. Irene Novak, Manager of Branch 388 in Eagle Lake, and conveys their greetings through these pages to their friends above the Mason-Dixon line. ★ ★ ★ On Sept. 28, The Rt. Rev. Zoltán Beky, our Second Vice- President and Manager of Branch 266 in Trenton, N. J., was honored by his congregation and host of friends and celebrities of the Hungarian Reformed Church life, by observing his 30th anni­versary as minister of the Trenton congregation and his installa­tion as Bishop of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America. The staff of our Home Office as well as the field force, with whom Bishop Beky has always cooperated to the fullest, also take this opportunity to extend their congratulations and best wishes. ★ ★ ★ Mr. Gazel Vespremi, Manager of Branch 156 in Dearborn, Mich., and First Vice-President of our Federation, attended the Michigan State Fraternal Congress in Flint with Dr. Tibor Halo, Detroit Section Manager, while Mr. Charles Modory, Chicago Dis­trict Manager, attended the Indiana State Congress. Western Super­visor Joseph Benedek and Elmer Vargo, Cleveland District Manager, attended the Ohio Fraternal Congress, while Joseph Molnár, Jr., Pittsburgh District Manager, attended the Pennsylvania Congress. ★ ★ ★ We were sorry to learn that Alex Gelley’s father died. Mr. Gelley is our Buffalo Section Manager, and we extend our heart­felt sympathy to him. ★ ★ ★ Rev. Paul Ferenczy, New York District Manager, is recover­ing nicely after having undergone surgery.
