FRATERNITY 31 95. The Moderator called the newly elected officers and members of the Supreme Council before the Convention, as follows: President: George E. Kerekes Borshy Secretary: Joseph Kecskemethy Treasurer: Emery Király Auditor: László Eszenyi First Vice President: Alexander Daroczy Second Vice President: Zoltán Beky Members of the Supreme Council: Stephen Syposs Joseph Molnár (Br. 13) Bertalan Szathmary Louis Nagy William Szuch Sigmund Palagyi Dr. Stephen Szabó Géza Veszprémi and asked them before the Convention to declare officially that they are willing to accept their election and are ready to take the official oath. All elected delegates declared that they will accept the election and are ready to take the official oath. 96. Upon the request of the Chairman, Dr. Alexander Toth, eldest ex-officer of the Supreme Council, administered the official oath and in a fervent prayer asked God’s blessing upon them. During the singing of the hymn, “Praise and Glory”, by the members of the Convention, Dr. Alexander Toth and the Chairman installed the newly elected officers by shaking their hands. 97. George E. Kerekes Borshy thanked the Convention for the trust placed in him and said that he shall endeavor to prove it by his future good labors; then he presented his request that the Convention express its gratitude and thanks, and give a share of financial remuneration to the two worthy and valuable workers who were not re-elected. Dr. Francis Újlaki, President, declared that he will not accept either thanks or remuneration, and since Edmund Vasvary, Auditor, had already left the meeting, the Convention took cognizance of the fact. 98. Matthias Daroczy, Chairman, returned the leadership of the Con­vention to Dr. Francis Újlaki, President, and mutually they stated that the following members shall serve as alternate delegates to the various districts: New York: Stephen Bessemer; New Jersey: Stephen Varga and Geza Megyesi; Pennsylvania: Andrew Lenart and Michael Rezes; Ohio: Matthias Daroczy and Joseph Lazar; Illinois: Árpád György.
