The President thanked the members of the Bethlen Home Com­mittee for their fine work, and reported that only the election of officers and members of the Supreme Council shall remain for tomorrow, for which the Supreme Council, fulfilling its duty prescribed by the By-Laws, this afternoon will compose the Nominating Committe, the list of which will be made known after the opening of the meeting tomorrow morning. After the singing of the hymn, “The Sun is Setting”, and prayer by Andrew Lenarth, the President recessed the meeting until 9 A. M. the next day. M. the members of the Convention gathered for devotion, singing the hymn, “The Lord is My Shepherd”; Dr. Tibor Csikesz, dele­gate, read the Bible, and Frank Szarka, delegate, led them in prayer, closing the devotion with the singing of the hymn, “We Praise Thee, Lord God”. Dr. Francis Újlaki, President, opened the meeting, and asked the Recording Secretaries to read the minutes. Dr. Alexander Toth, Recording Secretary, read the minutes taken at the meetings of the previous day, which were accepted with numerous corrections, and Joseph Molnár (Br. 20), Andrew Lenarth and Sigmund Palagyi, delegates, were asked to attest them. 81. The President asked the following delegates to attest the meet­ings on this day: Gedeon Tukacs, Zoltán Vajda and Tibor Toth, all of whom reside in the same city. 82. On behalf of the Federation, the President warmly greeted Frank Szarka, delegate, who this day celebrates his 50th wedding anniversary; also John Hollo, delegate, who celebrates his 40th anniversary as branch secretary. Similarly, the President greeted the wives of our delegates who came to the Convention and whose presence made our meetings more pleasant. 83. The President reports that the time is here, when members of the Supreme Council should be relieved of their responsibilities. Charles Papp, Vice President, gave a brief verbal report that all members of the Supreme Council have fulfilled their obligations — were present at all meetings. He recommended on behalf of them also that the Convention vote sincere thanks to Aladar A. Fiok, our Counselor- at-Law, who has been of great help to the members of the Supreme Council with his legal advice. Then in the name of his fellow members
