24 FRATERNITY erection of the CHURCH OF OUR THANKSGIVING out of the once, twice, three or four times the $500.00 donations of the Hungarian Reformed con­gregations in America, totaling $50,000.00. Against the motion of Zoltán Vajda, delegate, that our Federation give $5,000.00 to encourage the col­lection, provided if the collection will reach $45,000.00, for which purpose on behalf of his congregation he promptly offered twice $500.00 and Louis Molnár, delegate, $50.00 as an individual donation — the Convention accepted the recom­mendation of the Committee with 37 votes against 25. 70. The President greeted the following ministers: Rev. Julius Paal from Homestead, Pa.; Rev. John Butosi from McKeesport, Pa.; Rev. Andrew Hamza from Dayton, Ohio, and Rev. Aaron Elek from Leechburg, Pa., who came to our Convention. Joseph Kecskemethy, Superintendent, trans­mitted the greetings of Rev. Trevor Hoy, Episcopalian minister, who sent a beautiful bouqet of flowers in memory of Mrs. Arthur Thomas, on behalf of his church. Gratefully accepted. 71. Louis Balint, delegate’s request for leave was presented by the President to the Convention, which granted the permission. 72. After a short recess at 4 P. M., the President reopened the meeting. 73. Secretary George E. Kerekes Borshy asked authorization for the Supreme Council that the life, accident and hospitalization insurance of the full-time employees, as well as the District and other Managers, would be arranged on a group insurance basis, and plans also would be made concerning the raise of the salary of our District Managers. The Convention granted the permission unani­mously. 74. The President, on behalf of the Convention, thanked the Financial Committee for the splendid work, and asked the Committee of the Bethlen Home to give its report. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON THE BETHLEN HOME 75. On behalf of the Bethlen Home Committee, which was divided into two sub-committees, Louis Nagy, secretary, submitted the report. (Appendix No. 3.) The sub-committee, which was sent to examine the Children’s Home, examined all the books and handling of cash, and various certificates and bonds of the office of the Superintendent, then the staff books and working system of the Home which are supervised every three months
