EDITORIAL

CONCERNING OUR MINUTES

The following pages will reflect in full the MINUTES of our recent Quadrennial Convention. These MINUTES were carefully and expertly prepared by the Rev. Dr. Alexander Tóth and the Rev. Dezső Ábrahám, the former a valued and revered member who for may years was our tireless treasurer and is presently the editor of the REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJA; the latter is pastor of the Free Magyar Reformed Church of Perth Amboy, N. J., and editor of MAGYAR EGYHÁZ. To both of them we herewith also express our heartfelt gratitude for work well done!

The publication of the MINUTES in full is done with the aim of presenting the deeds of our Anniversary Convention to all our members and not only to the delegates alone. In this way each and every member will have full knowledge of everything that occurred at the Convention for the future furtherance of our common goals in serving the FEDERATION.

An addenda, incorporating all the new constitutional amendments adopted by the recent Convention, will soon be published in a separate pamphlet. It will be duly forwarded to all our branches after being approved by the respective state authorities which have jurisdiction over such matters.

We wish to note in conjunction with the MINUTES that all amendments, modifications, resolutions, etc. — except where specifically noted — are to be effective as of January 1, 1957. The newly elected officers will take office as of March 15, 1957. The superintendent vacancy in the Bethlen Home will be filled during the September meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bethlen Home.
