TESTVÉRISÉG 5 tion, the minister of which was none other, than the Reverend and very scholarly “God fearing old man,” Caspar Karolyi, who translated the Bible into the Hungarian tongue. The ancient Calvinistic tradition in that district is a living force, the love of the Bible and the faithfulness to the church of our fathers unto death, there, is a materialized reality. Paul Bacsó brought with him to this country of his adoption that wonderful inheritance from the place of his birth, which is more precious than pearls and dearer than diadem. And to that grand inheritance of his fathers he proved to be faithful unto death. Surely for his faithfulness and never failing enthusiasm, he will be rewarded by the Great Head of the Church, our Lord and God, who himself had said: “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.” In this world of ours, where everything comes to and end, passes away, it is so pleasing to listen to the mighty words of Apostle John, when he says: “And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.” Basing my convinction on these words of the Apostle, I proclaim to you at this moment of our parting with our beloved brother: Paul Bacsó had not died, he had done the will of God all his life, therefore he will abide forever!
