147. évfolyam (2010) Supplementum L 61 PSiTrack - a new system for suprachoroidal drug delivery Peter Raak, Gabor В. Scharioth Aurelios Augenzentrum Recklinghausen, Germany Purpose: To evaluate the pheasability of a new catheter system for drug delivery in retinal diseases. Methods: We performed surgery on 10 eyes with advanced wet AMD after intravitreal anti-VEGF-therapy with application of a new 40Qum thin catheter (PSiTrack, iScience, USA). After equatorial sclerotomy the catheter was placed into the suprachoroidal space and advanced posteriorely under the macula. Bevacizumab was injected. Results: All the eyes responded to the treatment, but the improvement of visual acuity was limited due to the advanced stage of the macular disease. Conclusions: With PSiTrack a suprachoroidal catheterization and submacular drug delivery is possible. This technique is safe and possibly useful for the application of other drugs than anti-VEGF in the future.
