Зрение по мнению автора подвержено различным влияниям. Хорошее зрение в движении машин является только одним фактором из многих. Другие факторы обычно не исследуются. По мнению автора, эти скрытые неврологические или психические недостатки являются более опасными в смысле возможности аварий, чем снижение остроты зрения средней степени или аномалии светового зрения. Последние могут быть значительно компенсированы сосредоточением внимания, обучением. Сообщает виды, размеры, цвет венгерских дорожных знаков и государственные стандарты, относящиеся к ним, а также о взаимосвязи угла зрения и скорости с видимостью. Обращает внимание на важность относительного контраста, целесообразность расположения, освещение и ремонт дорожных знаков. I. Győrffy: Visibility problems of the road-signs and notices In the motor-vehicle traffic we perceive the traffic lights with the aid of our eyes. Therefore vision is a very important thing in this respect, too. In the opinion of the author, however, vision is affected by a great number of factors. In the motor-vehicle traffic vision is just one factor out of many. The other factors will not be examined at all. The author claims that the disadvantageous elements that remain hidden, most of them psychic and connected with the nervous system, are more relevant with regard to the danger of accidents, than a medium-degree diminution of eye-sight or colour-blindness. These may be well compensated by custom and attention. The author describes the different types of sign-boards, their size, colour, and the standards used in this country. He mentions the connections between visual angle, speed and legibility. He draws attention to the value in relative contrasts of the boards, to their most appropriate placing, their environmental lighting and to the importance of their careful maintenance. I. Győrffy: Sichtbarkeitsprobleme der Verkehrszeichen und Aufschriften Im Kraftwagen verkehr perzipieren wir die den Verkehr regelnde Zeichen mit unseren Augen. Dem Sehvermögen kommt somit eine wichtige Rolle zu, dieses wird jedoch durch zahlreiche Faktoren beeinflusst. Im Kraftwagen verkehr ist das gute Sehvermögen nur ein Faktor unter zahlreichen, die übrigen Faktoren werden jedoch nicht geprüft. Der Verfasser ist der Meinung, dass diese verborgen bleibenden nachteilhaften, überwiegend das Nervensystem betreffenden und psychischen Eigenschaften vom Standpunkt der Unfallgefahr schwerwiegender sind als eine massige Visusverminderung oder Farbenblindheit. Diese können durch Angewöhnung, Aufmerksamkeit hochgradig kompensiert werden. Die Typen, Abmessungen, Farbe der Verkehrstafeln sowie die diesbezüglichen einheimischen Normen werden angegeben. Die Zusammenhänge zwischen Sehwinkel, Geschwindigkeit, Lesbarkeit werden behandelt. Der relative Kontrastwert der Tafeln, ihre zweckmässige Aufstellung, ihre Umgebungsbeleuchtung und die Wichtigkeit ihres guten Zustandes werden betont. 28
