Sebestyén, I., Strenger, I. und Szabó, G у.: Über die juvenile Maculadegeneration und deren Zusammenhang mit anderen Xetzhautdyslrophien. Nach Übersicht der Literatur über die Maculadenenerationen beschreiben Verff. i> eigene Fälle, ln 2 von ihnen war die Maculadegeneration funduskopiseh bloss auf die Maculagegend lokalisiert ; tier eine Fall mit ausschliesslicher Pigmentepithelläsion wurde für juvenile Maculadystrophie unbekannter Genese, der andere für Stargardtache progressive juvenile Maculadegeneration gehalten. In den übrigen 11 Fällen waren nebst der rosettenartigen Veränderung der Macula auch periphere retinale Degenerationsherde vorhanden, in zwei Fällen mit Ablation vergesellschaftet. Bei einem Geschwisterpaar war das eine Mitglied von Maculadegeneration befallen, das andere auch von symmetrisch gelegener Retinaablösung. Die Verff. sind der Meinung, dass die Maculadegenerationen im allgemeinen nicht auf das Zentralgebiet beschränkt sind, sondern, wie dies mit gewissen Methoden nachweisbar, auch die Peripherie einnehmen. In dieser Hinsicht ist als Untersuchungsmethode die Adaptometrie von grösserem Wert als die Elektroretinographie. Verff. machen auf die Schwierigkeiten der Frühdiagnose der juvenilen Maculadegenerationen aufmerksam, auf die Fixationsverschiebung, auf die evtl, vorhandene Maculaheterotopie und auf die ätiologische Rolle der embryonalen Schädigungen. Sebestyén, I., Strenger, I., Szabó, Gy.: On Juvenile Macular Degeneration and its Relations to Other Retinal Dystrophies. After surveying the relevant literature, the authors describe 5 cases of their own. In 2 of them the funduscopic degeneration was confined to the macular region ; the first case with lesion of the pigment epithel was taken for juvenile macular dystrophy of undetermined origin ; the second for progressive juvenile degeneration of the Stargardt-type. In each of the remaining three patients the rosette-shaped macular lesion was accompanied by peripheral spots of retinal degeneration, in addition to which in 2 cases the retina was also detached. One of two brothers had nuclear degeneration, the other symmetrical retinal detachment as well. Authors maintain that macular dystrophies derange not only the central part of the retina, but also involve the periphery as proved by certain methods of investigation, out of which adaptometry is considered to be of greater value than ERG. Authors point out the difficulties in the early diagnosis of juvenile macular degenerations : the shift of fixation, macular heterotopy, and the aetiologic role of embryonal alterations. VEZETŐSÉG-VÁLASZTÁS A Magyar Szemorvostársaság, mint a Orvos-Egészségügyi Szakszervezet Szemész Szakcsoportja 1964. február 28-án a budapesti II. sz. szemklinikán tartotta tisztújító közgyűlését. Imre György titkári és Kukán Ferenc elnöki beszámolója után a régi vezetőség leköszönt. A jelölő bizottság elnöke, Boros Béla ismertette a bizottság (tagok: Grósz István, Lugossy Gyula, Németh Béla) által javasolt új vezetőség névsorát. A szavazatszámolás alatt Weinstein Pál európai tanulmányút járói számolt be, majd Győrffy István a gépjárművezetés szemészeti feltételeinek korszerűsítéséről készített javaslatot ismertette.
