The Writing of Hungarian Economic History in the Mirror of International Trends by György Kövér (Summary) The book of Francesco Boldizzoni, published in 2011-ben, diagnoses the symptoms of crisis of economic history. Before all, he blames the New Economic History, and especially its cliometric branch, for the ensuing situation. Yet cliometrics is in good health even after the so-called linguistic turn, having recently established an international review of its own, and presently constructing its own „memorial". On the basis of a volume of interviews, which appeared in 2008, it is possible to observe the way in which the new economic historians look back upon their own past, the so-called cliometric revolution. It appears that their present attitude towards the revolution they lived through is far from equivocal, and whether at all what happened can be seen as a revolution is put in doubt. The second part of the study examines the reception of cliometrics in Hungary in the past fifty years, surveys the newest initiatives in Hungarian economic history, and considers the nature of a possible turn after a revolution which never took place.
