From the Little Hungarian Plain this species has data from the Szigetköz (cf. In the collection another, young, less-developed specimen identified by Jeney as "Dryopteris villari (Bell.) Woyn. (?)" can be found from the following locality: Italy; on granitic rock near village "St. Genesi" (Sarntaler Alpen [?]), 800 m, 01.07.1993, 52618.
