II. A magyarországi sörfőzés története

In 1956 they began to produce four different flavours of soft drinks. For economic reasons, in 1959 the Sopron Brewery was also absorbed into the Hungarian National Beer Industry Corporation. In this new structure the companies' ceased to operate independent­ly and they no longer functioned as distinct accounting units. The period between 1958-1970 saw major investments at the brewery aimed at increasing production capacity. New offices were established, the brewery, the maturation and fermentation cellars were upgraded, and the wooden barrels were replaced by aluminium containers. In 1965 they halted production at the malt factory, which was no longer seen as being up to the standards of the time. In 1970 they introduced the Lővér porter beer to celebrate the brewery's 75-year anniversary. The year 1971 saw the creation of the Beer Industry Trust, which replaced the National Beer Industry Cor­poration.
