energiatakarékos berendezésekkel megújult az erőtelep. 2002-ben az amerikai Miller cég is a SAB tulajdonába került, így a Dreher gyár a SAB-Miller csoport tagjává vált. 2016-ban a SAB-Millert, a világ második legnagyobb sörgyártó cégét felvásárolta a leges-legnagyobb, az AB InBev. Az új tulajdonos azonban nem tartotta meg a közép-európai sörmárkákat, hanem továbbadta a cégeket. 2016 végén a japán Asahi Group Holding vásárolta meg a Dreher gyárat, valamint több ismert közép-európai márkát, így a Pilsner Urquellt és a lengyel Tyskie és Lech söröket is.

In 1997 the name of the company that resulted from the merger became Kőbánya Brewery Stock Corporation. Another round of modernisation was carried out in 2003, and the electricity plant was upgraded with new energy saving installations. In 2002 SAB was acquired by the American Miller corporation, and thus the Dreher brewery also became part of the SAB-Miller group. In 2016 SABMiller, the world's second largest producer of beer, was acquired by the largest global beer producer, AB InBev. The new owners did not want to hold on to the Central European beer brands and sold them instead. At the end of 2016 the lapanese Asahi Group Holding bought the Dreher brewery along with several prominent Central European brands, including Pilsner Urquell and the Polish Tyskie and Lech beers.
