Abstracts Norbert C. Tóth: The records of the convent in Somogy county in the National Archives (Source publication) (Publication Nr. 9) 1441-1453 In the previous issues Iván Borsa closed the publication of the abstracts of the records with 1440. His publication is continoue by Norbert C. Tóth. This time he lets us know the extracts of the records between 1441-1453. From the extracts of the 107 published records, we understand the scope and the operation of the convent, the land suits of the nobility, the pawning of estates, the border marks. The author shows the transcription of the records, the condition thereof, and he precisely marks the shelf-marks. Tamás Polgár: Statutes for the Election of Officials and the Election in Somogy County in 1824 The essay summarizes the first results of the research related to the preparation of the archontology of officials of Somogy County in the Reform era. The author analyzes the first three statutes ( 1800, 1808, 1823 ) of the 19 th century. The decree 4390 of 1819 of the governor general's council ordained individual vote in the election of the county officials. Complying with that, the counties had to create a new regulation concerning the election of the officials. The elections were held on the basis of the new statute all over the country. The final forming of the decree had to be waited for until 1823 in Somogy County, and the election of the officials took place only in 1824. The vacancy of the Lord Lieutenant's post and the unfolding county resistance against the absolutistic efforts also contributed to the delay. The introductory study provides the historical analysis of these processes and the summary of the political life in Somogy County ( 1819-1824 ). The essay is closed by the literal publication of the statutes. Márta G. Jáger: The Beginnings of the Parliamentary Popular Representation in Somogy County (1848-1849) Besides the processing of the events of the 1848-1849 Revolution and War of Independence and the many-sided exploration of the economic and social processes, Hungarian historiography has paid relatively little attention to the examination of the constitutional issues affecting the essence of the changes. Similarly, in Somogy County the military historical research has been in the foreground because of Gáspár Noszlopy's activity as a government commissioner. The author aims to remedy this need by researching the issues of the civil transformation of the county. The essay presents the events and results of the election of Somogy County representatives for the first representative Diet by the processing and publication of archival sources unexplored
