outstanding role. The article comes up with the assumption that this migration of population may be seen as the natural counter-motion of the considerable flight from the Turkish invasion, as the back current of the offspring of the one-time escapees. Bezerédy Győző: The seals of the aegrarian towns and villages of Somogy county 1768-1856. (Part 6 Kadarkút-Magyarlukafa) Part 6 contains the seals of 44 villages. In this series, it can be observed again tha the villages often altered their seals in a seemingly authoritarian way, furthermore, it was not uncommon that the village possessed two or three authoritative ("living") seals at the same time. It occurred several times for a document to be authorised in another village and the seal was at hand and at home in the village they did not have to put off matters either since there was another one. At the same time it provided an opportunity for abuse as the judge could not be present at two places. It also occurred that two villages used the same seal. It was seen as an extraordinary solution (i. e. Látrány és Lelle). In Kiliti in one case in 1788, not having their seal at hand, they certified their papers with the notary's seal. In the judicial book-keeping of Kiliti we can find the order of a new seal and its expenses in 1848. Knézy Judit: Life at the Csurgó manor of the Festetics family in the last third of the 18th century. The study is on the farming of the Csurgó estate in the period of the years between 1760-1790, more precisely a given group of the hired workers. Not about the perpetual serfs or the yearly laborors paid in kind, but it is about the ones that were hired as lease-holders for several years or just temporary workers such as craftsmen, specialists, traders, seasonal or daily vorkers. In the given period, mainly the craftsmen making food, clothes and the major tools and appliences of the household were represented at the manor, among them one could find half cessional serfs, but homeless cottars as well. T. Mérey Klára: The relation of roads and settlements in Somogy county at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. In line with the slow modernization from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, there were significant changes in the infrastructure. This process started mainly with the building of roads. Through the study we can grasp the connection between the roads and the settlements since the author presented the contemporary basic sources. Through the military engineers' description we understand the condition of the roads, the post stations and the number of buildings at a settlement. At the same time they also showed the level of economic development of the settlements. We can follow the development of settlements in time and we also gain useful information of the outskirts. Paál László: The press of Somogy county 1919-1944. (Third publiation) The author goes through the county and local papers of the Hungarian Soviet Republic and the Horthy regime. He thoroughly examines the two decisive dailies of the period under scrutiny namely Somogyi Újság and ÚjSomogy. He places emphasis on the preparation of the land reform which
