Foundation document The Hungarian Post Company (Budapest, XII.Krisztina krt.6-8) the Hungarian Telecommunication Company (Budapest, XII. Kriszrina krt. 6-8.) and the Hungarian Broadcasting Company (Budapest, VUI. Trefort u.2.) (hereinafter called as the Founders) considering that the approximately half a thousand year history of the Hungarian Post is interwoven with the Hungarian History,- in the firm belief that our postal, communication and stamp historical collections of museum constitute not only part of the Hungarian, but also the part of the universal cultural heritage,- taking into account that the Hungarian Post provides their preservation and augmentation for about 100 years,- with the intention that this value preserving technical and historical relics protection e continued by the Hungarian Post within the conditions of eccelerated technical construction changes, the quality changes of the postal services, and the changes occuring in the organization of the Post, decided to establish a Foundation having legal entity by the l.st of January 1990. according to the following points: 1. ) The name of the Foundation: PT Museum Foundation 2. ) The headquartes of the Foundation: Budapest, VI. Népköztársaság útja 3. 3. ) The purpose of the Foundation: a) it contributes by the help of its museums - with the specific means of the museology - to the promotion of the common heritage of the Founder Companies and Institutions, and it also contributes to the encouragement of the development of the communication of the future by the scientific elaboration of the past, b) strengthening the inherence of the employees of the post and communication branch with its exhibition activities and publicism, and intducing and propagating the services of the post and communication for the visitors of the museums, c) according to the effective Hungarian laws related to museology, by the help of its museums - as intstitution, having country-wide collecting authority, with its country wide museum network - it collects, preserves, protects, studies and scientifically elaborates, records and exhibits the material and documentation relics of the Founders and their institutions in the service of the treatment of the public educational, postal and communicational tradions, d) financing of the operation of the museums. 11
