VILMOS GYŐRI (1838-1885), a Lutheran preacher, who revised the New Testament in 1878.

JÓZSEF KERESZTES (1846-1888) studied at Utrecht, Tübingen and Leipzig and became a Calvinist professor of Theology at Nagyenyed. His scientific translation of the Bible remained in manuscript.

ISTVÁN KECSKEMÉTHY (1864-?), Doctor of Philosophy, professor at Calvinist School of Theology and secretary to a bishop. He mainly published his articles in The Protestant Church and School (1888). He translated The Song of Songs (1890), The Book of Psalms (1910), Hosea( 1914), Nahum, Haggai, Zachariah (1915) Passages from the Gospel of St. Mark (1916), and the New Testament (1931).

BÉLA SASS (1865-1928), professor of the Calvinist Theological Academy and head of Department of Old Testament Studies in Debrecen. After writing several studies he translated The Book of Job.91

GÉZA DÉKÁNY translated Habakkuk (1894).

JAKAB SIEGLER, a Lutheran preacher. Translated The Book of Jonah (1894)

JÓZSEF ERDŐS (1856-?), Lutheran professor of Theology.98 He translated and commented Letters of St. Peter I and II and The Letter to the Hebrews (1883-1885).

ENDRE MASZNYIK (1857-1927) was a professor and director of Lutheran Theology. He translated The Letters of St. Paul (1896) and the Gospels{\9\l) and also commented them.

LAJOS MARTON (1870-?), a Calvinist teacher who studied in Utrecht and in Marburg. He became the Master of Art in Budapest. From
