RECENSIONS 247 research fields. The collected work is divided into ten main chapters, follow­ing the themes of the individual studies: I. Comprehensive studies of the major areas of the canonically regulated functioning of the Church; II. The duties and rights of the faithful and the framework for their exercise; III. The admin­istration of justice in the Church and the role of the cardinals in the functioning of the offices of the Holy See; IV. The areas and particular features of the exercise of episcopal power, with special reference to the functioning of dio­ceses, the judicial system and parishes; V. Areas of the functioning of eccle­siastical administrative law; VI. The correct interpretation of synodality and collegiality, as well as the specific areas and levels of their exercise; VII. The ‘sui iuris’ churches and the central authority of the Church; VIII. Questions of the functioning of the diocese; IX. The ecclesiastical property and its canoni­cal administration; X. The system of relations between canon law and the proper law of the Vatican City State. Chapter One contains the analysis of twelve authors (i.e. Arturo Cattaneo, Francesco Coccopalmerio, Massimo del Pozzo, Carlo Jósé Errázuriz, Andrea Favaro, Paolo Gherri, Giacomo Incitti, Gaetano Lo Castro, Francesco Lozu­­pone, Eduardo Molano, Helmuth Pree, Giavanni B. Vamier). The most notable among them are Card. Francesco Coccopalmerio (Le quattordici opere di mi­sericordia nel Codice di Diritto Canonico?) and Carlo Jósé Errázuriz tanul­mánya (Sul rapporto del governo nella Chiesa con i beni giuridici della paro­la di Dio e della liturgia, specie dei sacramenti). Chapter Two contains eight studies written by prominent researchers of the field, each of them individually determining their topics (i.e. Romeo Astorri, Eduardo Baura, Maria Blanco, Maria d’Arienzo, Gabriela Eisenring, Inés Lloréns, Giovanni Moscariello, Francesco Zanchini di Castiglionchio). According to their content and conclusions, special mention should be made of Eduardo Baura’s work (Rilevanza della volonta del fedele nella determina­­zione della giuridizione ecclesiastica)', Maria Blanco’s analysis (Las mujeres en el mundo y en la Iglesia: Una propuesta de sostenibilidad humana)', and Inés Lloréns’ overview (La familia como principio estructural de la Iglesia). In Chapter Three, we also see eight studies (Geraldina Boni, William L. Daniel, Alberto de la Hera, Brian E. Ferme, Manuel Ganarin, Paolo Moneta, Fernando Puig, Emma Graziella Saraceni). Based on their conclusions, it is necessary to highlight Geraldina Boni’s summary (II dicastero ’promotors, grante e interprete del diritto nella Chiesa Per una valorizzazione dei con­sultori)', Manuel Ganarin’s essay (Annotazioni sulla configurazione dell’ujfi­­cio di decano del collegio cardinalizio quale incarico di durata quinqquen­­nale); and Paolo Moneta’s reflection (Alcune considerazioni sulla dignita cardinalizia).
