Flea Species New for the Hungarian Fauna. V. István SZABÓ Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest "Fies species, new for the Hungarian fauna. V." - Szabó, I. - Parasit. Hung. 12. 91-92. 1979. ABSTRACT: The foHowing taxa are reported: RhadinopsyUa integeUa integella (Jordan et Rothschild), Peromyscopsylla bidentata (Kolenati) and Palaeopsylla soricis starki Wagner as new to Hungary. With these three taxa the number of flea species and subspecies in the Hungarian fauna has increased to 61. Three flea taxa new for the Hungarian fauna were collected in the last years: Rhadinopsylla integella integella (Jordan et Rothschild) 1 c_; locality: Bódvaszilas (Com. Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén), from soil trap, leg. t D. BAJOMI. The species of the genus Rhadinopsylla are not frequent fleas, in Hungary hitherto only a few specimens of R. pentacantha Rothschild and R. strouhali Smit were found. From soil traps placed out in years 1970-71 in the environs of Bódvaszilas several fleas were found. Among these I have found only one female specimen of R. integella integella . This species occurs in the European part of the Palaearctic region, mainly in the mountains. There is data of localities from the British Isles to Italy, but the species is not frequent anywhere. Its true host is the Clothrionomys glareolus, but several, specimens reported also from other species of Rodentia (Microtus agrestis, M. nivalis, Apodemus flavicollis). Peromyscopsylla bidentata (Kolenati) 1 2»' locality: Ágfalva Hidegvizvölgy (Com. Gyór-Sopron), 25 October, 1975, leg. : I. SZABÓ. Host: Crocidura leucodon. The occurrence of three species of the genus PeromyscopsyUa was expected in the territory of Hungary, of them earlier only P. fallax Rothschild had been reported from the Bakony mountain and from the environs of Sopron. On 25 October, 19 74 I found this species on Crocidure leucodon collected at the lower part of the valley Hidegviz-völgy in the territory of Ágfalva. This species has spread from Scandinavia through Central Europe towards the east to territories beyond the Ural. Probably it is not very rare in Hungary either, but they occur mainly in the winter months when, unfortunately, I dod not collect them in the locality cited here. The true hosts are the Muridae but they have been found also on species of genera Sorex and Mu stela. Palaeopsylla soricis starki Wagner Localities: National Park Hortobágy, forest at Uj szentmargi ta, Hortobágyi halastó, Nagyiván (Com. Hajdú-Bihar), September, 1974 and September, 1976, leg. : I. SZABÓ. Hosts: Sorex araneus, Apodemus flavicollis. The occurrence of the P. soricis soricis (Dale) as the main form is known from the British Isles through the Continent to the central regions of Germany and to the frontier of Austria; from here towards the east, the P. soricis rosickyi Smit occurs and in the terri-
