Műhely This „Letter of Occupation” is the basis of the local historical memory in Kunszentmárton until our days. Copies of this 18th century text are preserved in many families in the town. It is at the same time a representation of belonging to the old families of founders and expression, legitimation of the social structure in the city. This later role was weakened in the 20th century. The „Letter of Occupation” became a model for a group of inhabitants of Kunszentmárton who founded a new settlement (Kuntelep at Görgeteg) at the very end of the 19th century in Transdanubia (South-West Hungary, County Somogy).
