Seventeen thousand meters of historical source/Introduction of the main archives

—*——— the Knitwear Factory of Vác (1948-1973; 16,94 lm), the Pest-Nógrád County Animal Marketing and Meat Industry Company (PENOMAH) of Vác (1950-1992; 28,47 lm) and the Cannery of Nagykőrös (1948-1989; 41,70 lm) got into our Archives. Regarding the credit institutions we took over some linear meters of material from the district branches of the Hungarian National Bank and regarding agricultural plants we got documents from more than 20 state farms. From this latter one there are mainly balances and factory plans that got into our archive. We could take over only a small amount of state farm documents in the past decades, and also the archive documents of the liquidated economic institutions are incomplete. M/V i livi- UNIT XXX - RATIVES In this main archive there are the documents of cooperatives formed after 1945 voluntarily or under the pressure of different government and party organizations. The cooperatives, mainly the agricultural ones, had been reorganized several times, or they were divided and reorganized, therefore their number is extremely large. According to the basic functions of the cooperatives, four types can be distinguished. According to this classification the following amount of cooperative material can be found in the Pest County Archives at the end of 2002: Type of the cooperative Number of cooperatives Volume of the stored documents Industrial 255 116,951m Agricultural 668 219,731m Trade 113 32,161m Credit- and Financial 16 6,75 lm Researching the documents of single cooperatives can be done by using the detailed storage registers and the reference material of the age. MAIN ARCHIVE UNIT XXXIÍI - DOCUMENTS REFERRED TO ARCHIVES FT SPECIAL PROVISIONS In this main archive there are the second copies of state birth certificate collections of Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun County from 1895, and that of Pest County from 1950 stored (up to 1980) in 174 linear meters volume. The 7,80 linear meters volume documents of elections and referendums between 1989 and 2003 belong to the same group. There are separate subjects fonned from the reports of parliamentary, local governmental and social insurance elections and also that of the referendums. The reports within the subjects are placed according to alphabetical order of the settlements. 100
