The titles figure as abbreviated entriesL n the lists. The editorst nclude every essential information and also locations of all foreign publications of a nonephemeral character. Two series are issued monthly: social science and natural science series. The classified material is described in 350 groups, according to the abbreviated table of the UDC. Every list issued covers titles of foreign books published over the preceding five years. In the course of 1962 approximately 70,000 titles were dealt with. The acquisitions by 180 special libraries in the social science series, and by 440 in the natural science series, were registered. A subject index completes every issue. For rapid registration and central processing of the titles, the publication is reproduced by the XEROX-OFFSET process. It was thus now possible to overcome the greatest drawback of lists published in Hungary as far back as in the twenties of this century
