INTRODUCTION The journal Annales historico-naturales Musei nationalis hungarici has been founded to report on the scientific research confining to the Hungarian Natural History Museum, either as produced by the staff of, or as evaluating the natural history material belonging in the museum. As a yearbook, it is the successor of Természetrajzi Füzetek {— "NaturalHistory Booklets') and is continuously being published since 1903 every year. An index to the papers published in the journal was first summarized in the 25 TH volume (CSIKI 1928), then all papers of the first 50 volumes were listed and indexed by BÁLÁS & VITÉZ (1959). The following enumeration consists of data of 2503 papers published between 1903 and 2007 in the volumes 1 to 99 of the Annales historico-naturales Musei nationalis hungarici, the yearbook of the Hungarian Natural History Museum (HNHM).
