BIOGRAPHY Date and place of birth: 16 th September, 1900, Zólyom. 1918-1926: Studies at the Medical Faculty of the Hungarian Royal University and Pázmány Péter University, then at the University of Arts. 1920-1932: Trainee and assistant professor at the Department of Anthro­pology. 1924-1928: Anthropological lectures as assistant professor. 1929: Doctorate in the field of anthropology with distinction. 1930-1942: Organiser and lecturer of the Anthropometric Laboratory of the College of Physical Education in Budapest. 1932-1939: Assistant professor at the Department of Anthropology, super­vised by Lajos Bartucz. 1934: Senior lecturer at the Department of Anthropology. 1934-1935: State scholarship at the Collegium Hungaricum in Berlin (super­vised by Eugen Fischer). 1937: Habilitation as part-time professor at the Pázmány Péter University of Sciences.
