VIII. 1965; 2 females, Suchebator aimak, river Baján gol, 85 km NE of Somon Dariganga, 1100 m, 8.VIII.1965; 1 female, Bajan-Ölgij aimak, 20 km NNW of Ölgij, 2100 m, 2.VII. 1968. Synopeas kaszabi sp. n. (Figs 68-71) Female - Length 1.9 mm. Black, A1-A6 and fore legs yellowish brown; A7-A10 and coxae dark brown; mid femur dark brown, mid trochanter and tibia yellowish brown; hind femur and distal half of hind tibia dark brown, hind trochanter and basal half of hind tibia yellowish brown; segments 1-4 of all tarsi light brown, last segment dark brown. Head from above (Fig. 68) 1.8 x as wide as long, as wide as mesosoma, uniformly, finely but distinctly reticulate-coriaceous, occiput hardly with carina but somewhat angled. OOL equal to diameter of lateral ocellus. Head in frontal view 1.1 x as wide as high; antenna (Fig. 69) with Al 0.9 x as long as height of head. Mesosoma 1.4 x as long as wide, 1.1 x as high as wide. Sides of pronotum finely reticulate-coriaceous all over. Mesoscutum with scattered hairs, with uniform sculpture hardly different from head, without notauli; hind margin medially with a small triangular, smooth prolongation (not swollen) just overreaching margin of scutellum; scuto-scutellar grooves with numerous long hairs. Mesopleuron smooth. Scutellum (Fig. 70) smooth and almost bare medially, laterally densely hairy, posteriorly with a small, dark tooth and a very narrow, brownish lamella below. Metapleuron with pilosity except along narrow anterior, smooth margin. Propodeal carinae fused, weakly semitransparent. Fore wing 0.7 x as long as body, 2.9 x as long as wide, slightly darkened and with dense microtrichia, hardly with marginal cilia. Hind wing with marginal cilia 0.2 width of wing. Metasoma (Fig. 71 ) 1.5 x as long as head and mesosoma combined, 1.1 x as wide as mesosoma, 1.4 x as wide as high. T2 smooth. T3-T5 each with a transverse stripe of rough reticulate-coriaceous sculpture around midlength, T6 with such sculpture except in posterior third; apical tergites with some superficially implanted fine hairs. Material examined - Holotype female: Mongolia, Suchebaator aimak, 44 km SSW of Baruun urt, 1050 m, 2-3.VIII.1965. Remarks - Characterised by the relatively long metasoma which, however, is less pointed at apex than in e.g. S. acuminatus KlEFFER, 1916 and S. muticus (NEES, 1834), cf. KlEFFER (1926). Synopeas marttii BUHL, 2004 Material examined - 1 male, Chövsgöl aimak, 84 km W of Mörön, about 10 km NE of river Delger Mörön, 1650 m, 20.VI.1968.
