Hydrochus rypkemai sp. n. (Fig- 9) Holotype: male. Zaire, Elisabethville, Feb.1940, H.J.BRBDO (MUS. Tervuren). - Paratype: 1 male (same data as holotype) (Mus. Budapest). Description (holotype male): Body elongate, length 3.2 mm, width 1.1 mm. Dorsal side shining. Colour of head black, colour of pronotum, scutellum and elytra brown and with a blue-green metallic gloss. Head with coarse punctures. Pronotum longer than wide, lateral side smooth. Disc with five large deep depressions. Anterior margin of pronotum with three depressions, one at the centre, two behind this. Posterior margin with two depressions. Elytral length 2.1 mm, elytra widest on posterior third, lateral side smooth, interstriae wider than striai punctures, 3rd, 5th and 8th interstriae carinate in almost whole length, tubercle absent. Elytral apices rounded. Apical holes absent. Male genitalia (Fig. 9): Basal piece long, páraméra longer than the median lobe. Etymology: This species is named after my friend HENDRIK RYPKEMA. This species is similar to Hydrochus tineae sp. n., but there is a difference in the shape of male genitalia: páraméra in H. rypkemai long, in H. tineae short. Hydrochus tineae sp. n. (Fig. 10) Holotype: male. Ivory Coast, Dimbroko, (collector and date unknown) (only the holotype) (Mus. Tervuren). Description (holotype male): Body elongate, length 3.1 mm, width 1.2 mm. Dorsal side shining. Colour of head, pronotum, scutellum and elytra black and with a blue-green metallic gloss. Head with dense, fine punctures. Pronotum longer than wide, lateral side smooth. Disc with five large deep depressions. Anterior margin of pronotum with three depressions, one at the centre, two behind this. Posterior margin with two depressions. Elytral length 1.9 mm, elytra widest on posterior third, lateral side with fine granules, striai punctures coarse, wider than interstriae, 3rd, 5th and 9th interstriae carinate in almost whole length, tubercle absent. Apical holes absent. Elytral apices rounded. Male genitalia (Fig. 10): Basal piece long, parameres longer than median lobe. Etymology: This species is named after TINE SPITSBAARD. my swimming instructor. Hydrochus satishi sp. n. (Fig. 11) Holotype: male. Laos, Ban Kum, 20.X1.1968, J. RONDON (Bishop Mus.). - Paratype s: 2 females (same data as holotype) (1 female in Mus. Budapest). Description (holotype male): Body elongate, length 3.2 mm, width 1.2 mm. Dorsal side shining. Colour of head pronotum, scutellum nd elytra black, with a blue-green metallic gloss. Head with coarse punctures. Pronotum longer than wide, lateral side smooth. Disc with five large deep depressions. Anterior margin of pronolum with three depressions, one at the centre, two behind this. Posterior margin with two depressions. Elytral length 2.0 mm, elytra widest on posterior third, lateral side smooth, striai punctures wider than interstriae, 5th interstria on posterior side with a very prominent tubercle, the other interstriae flat. Apical holes absent. Elytra with about 20 large black spots, apices rounded. Male genitalia (Fig. 11): Basal piece short, median lobe with long flagellum. Etymology: This species is named after my son SATISH MAKHAN. This species is very similar to H. anandi sp. n.: pronotum in H. anandi is longer than in H. satishi.
