Felis (Leptailurus) serval SCHREBER, 1776 Specimens : Modjo (1 9 > S +S), "Abyssinia" (1 juv. sex?, .S). Notes : Sight record: Dinshu. The Serval is common in the Balé Mountains (WALTERMIRE, 1975). Felis (Lynx) caracal SCHREBER, 1776 Specimens: Meki* (1 çf, .S), Modjo (1 çf, S +S). Notes : Apparently there are few records of this species from the Rift Valley, except for the northern entrance (YALDEN & al., 1980). Felis (Panthera) pardus LINNAEUS, 1758 Specimens : Uangi* (1 O juv., .S), "Abyssinia" (1 juv. sex?, .S; 1 ad. sex?, .S). Notes : We have been unable to trace the locality of the only specimen of this species properly labelled. TUBULIDENTATA Orycleropus afer (PALLAS, 1766) Specimens : Entoto (3 $, .S), "Abyssinia" (3 sex?, S.). Notes : Although all the six specimens have been obtained from the same collector, M. GAJDÁCS, but at considerably different times so it is unlikely that the skins and skulls are complementary. The skins apparently arrived to Hungary in the thirties, the recorded years for the skulls are 1933, 1958 and 1960. HYRACOIDEA Procavia capensis (PALLAS, 1766) Specimens : Lake Langano (2 sex?, .S). Notes : Fragmentary skull remains of two individuals found in rock crevices. Large amount of accumulated fecal pellets covered the floors of many cavelets which were formed by big boulders of rocks having been piled up during geological movements. Whistling and scuffling were occasionally heard, but no animals were actually sighted. CORBET (1979) published a list of known records of Procavia for Ethiopia and referred a specimen from Langano to the subspecies jacksoni. Heterohyrax brucei (GRAY, 1868) Specimens : Awash river (1 çf, S +S), Modjo (1 9. -S). Notes : The publication of BOTHMA (1966) was used for identification. Because of the unsettled state of the infraspecific systematics of the species, the specimens have not been allocated subspecifically. ARTIODACTYLA Phacochoerus aethiopicus (PALLAS, 1766) Specimens : "Abyssinia" (2 çf, pairs of upper tusks). Notes : Sight records (A. D.) : Awash National Park.
