I have seen three females collected in England and Sweden, which were kindly sent to me by DR. BOUCEK. This species is very common in Japan and I have many specimens reared from various leaf-minersfrom Hokkaido, Honshu and Kyushu. Distribution : Korea*, Japan*, Europe. In the female specimen, the mesoscutum and scutellum are coarsely reticulate, the fore wing has the speculum closed below. Distribution : Korea*, Europe, North America (introduced). The present specimens agree with the original description except that the colour of the body is uniformly blackish with bronzy reflections, the bristles on the scutellum are dark, and in one female (No. 288) the stigmal vein is short, 0.32 times as long as the marginal vein. I have seen one female specimen collected in the Moldavian SSR, which was kindly sent to me by DR. BOUCEK. The Korean specimen differs from the European only in having the gaster relatively shorter, about as long as head plus thorax.
