Kamijo, K.: Eulophidae (Hymenoptera) from Korea, with description of two new species

In the above specimens, two females (Nos. 169 and 225) have the face and clypeus extensively pale yellow, the gaster mainly yellowish brown, the antennái flagellum short, as long as the breadth of the head, each funicle segment equal in length, less than twice as long as broad; three males (Nos. 160, 164 and 238) have also the face and gaster extensively pale, but the scape moderately swollen medially, and the funcile with short and sparse hairs. They seem to be within the range of variation of E. bicolor. — I have also seen many specimens from Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu and Kyushu). Distribution : Korea*, Japan*, Europe. In the North Korean specimen (No. 225), the thorax and gaster are less slender, the fore wing has the speculum almost reduced, and the thoracic dorsum is blackish, except for lateral portions of the pronotum. Vll. 1971 (K. YAMAGISHI). DR. BOUCEK very kindly sent me a pair of specimens collected in Scotland. Compared with these specimens, the Korean ones are somewhat light in colour: in lighter specimens the gaster and flagel­lum are dark brown, and the legs except the hind coxae are yellowish brown.
