10 (11) Tergites 2. and 3. twice longer than 4 — 6. (eventually 7.). Only two marginal ridges on metanotum, central ridge wanting. Length of animal at least 3,5 mm. Furrow separating tergites 2. and 3. forms an angle proximally. Length : 3,5—4 mm. — Range : Europe. In Hungary, it was collected by Győrfi around Sopron 5. M. calceata Hal., 1834. 11 (10) Tergites 2. and 3. as long as others. All three ridges present on meta­notum. Length of animal but 2,5 mm. Furrow separating tergites 2. and 3. straight or slightly curved. 12 (13) Scutellum finely and sporadically punctate. Mesonotum densely and finely punctate (fig. 1.). Central field of tergite 2. well protruding (fig. 15.). Only first pair of legs vivid yellow, other legs black. Length : 2,5 mm 6. M. claritibia sp. n. 13 (12) Scutellum and mesonotum densely and roughly scrobiculate (fig. 2.). Central field of tergite 2. hardly protruding, scarcely conspicuous. Legs yellowish brown or yellow. Length : 2,3—2,5 mm 7. M. tegularius sp. n. 14 (1) Plate of tergite 1. as long as, or slightly longer than, its distal margin. 15 (26) Face roughly punctato-rugulose. 16 (19) Tergite 2. slightly rugulose or almost wholly smooth. 17 (18) Metanotum without central ridge, marginal ridges present. Only proximal halfth of mesonotum densely punctate, with one dent on both sides. Abdomen completely black. Legs rufous-black from tibia, femur and coxa black. Venation blackish brown. Length : 3 — 4 mm. — Range : Europe. Collected around Kolozsvár and Budapest in the Carpathian Basin 8. M. hospes Marsh., 1885. 18 (17) All three ridges present on metanotum. Proximal three-fourth of mesonotum densely and roughly punctate (fig. 3.). Abdomen brown, first sternites spotted yellow. Legs mainly yellow. Venation yellowish brown. Length : 2,5 — 3 mm 9. M. fusca sp. n. 19 (16) Tergite 2. strongly rugoso-punctate (fig. 9.). 20 (21) Third femur wholly black. Mesonotum extensively punctate (as related to M. globata L., M. areolaris Thoms., and M. subcompleta Nees) toward scutellum (fig. 4.). Maxillary and labial palpi black. Length : 3,5—4 mm. — Range : Palearcticum. One of the most common Micro­gaster species of the Carpathian Basin 10. M. tibialis Nees, 1834. 21 (20) Third femur reddish-yellow, its distal end eventually black. Mesonotum not extensively punctate (as related to M. tibialis Nees) toward scu­tellum. Maxillary and labial palpi reddish-yellow, excepting basal joints. 22 (23) Furrow before scutellum narrow (as related to M. globata L., M. areolaris Thorns.). Outline of abdomen (as related to above species) gener­ally elongate. Mesopleura finclv and sporadically punctate. Mesonotum slightly punctate (fig. 5.). Antennae reddish below. Length : 3,5 — 4,5 mm. — Range : Palearcticum. Frequent in the Carpathian Basin 11. M. subcompleta Nees, 1834. 23 (22) Furrow before scutellum broad (as related to M. subcompleta Nees). Outline of abdomen (as related to above species) squat. Mesopleura punctate. Mesonotum punctate. Bases of first two femora generally reddish yellow.
