M. areolaris Thorns., 1895. 25 (24) Cubitus 2. triangular (fig. 16.). Length : 3,5—5 mm. — Range : Palearcticum. Collected in several localities of the Carpathian Basin 13. Sides and apex of scutellum punctate, its center smooth and shiny. Legs preponderantly brownish black. Clypeus and mandibles obliquely prognathous (well visible laterally). Next but last flagellar joint of males generally twice as long as broad. 32 (33) Tergite 2. slightly rugulose. Femora 3. always reddish yellow. Abdomen preponderantly reddish yellow. Length : 5—6 mm. — Range : France, Germany, the Soviet Union. Collected in several points of the Pannon­icum in Hungary 16. M. nobilis Reinh., 1880. 33 (32) Tergite 2. roughly rugose. Femora 3. always black. Reddish yellow color of abdomen of various extense, with at least tergites 1. and 2. black. Length : 4,5 — 5 mm. — Range : known only from Hungary. Collected in various localities of the Pannonicum and the Mts. Mecsek 17. M. hungarica Szépl., 1896. 34 (29) Mesonotum and mesopleura punctate, slightly shiny. 35 (36) Legs preponderantly reddish yellow. Maxillary and labial palpi reddish yellow. Sternites 2.—4. yellow. Length : 4,5—5 mm. — Range : nomi­nate species found sporadically in all Europe 18. M. deprimator var. subtilipunctata var. n. 36 (35) Femora 2. and 3. always black. Maxillary and labial palpi obscure. No or small light spot on proximal sternites. Length : 4,5 — 5 mm. — Range : England, Sweden, the Soviet Union. Found in almost every district of the Carpathian Basin, frequentest in the Pannonicum 19. M. curvicrus Thoms., 1895. Critical remarks on some Microgaster species Microgaster parasitellae Bouché Fahringer (1937 : 184) and Hellén (1954 : 118) relegate it to Apan­teles lacteus Nees.
