Szelényi, G.: Notes on the Merisina (Hym., Chalcidoidea)
sus has been recorded as a parasite of Harmolita grandis Ril., tristis Fitch and hordei Harris, as well as of Mayetiola destructor Say. As concerns the latter, H. febriculosus is sometimes a secondary parasite attacking Eupelmus allynii French and Platygaster zosine Walk. H. destructor was recorded from Mayetiola destructor Say and Af. avenae March., Oscinella frit L. and Elachyptera cornuta Fall. Homoporus mordellistenae was bread as a pupa taken in the burrow of Mordellistena ustulata and from puparia of Mayetiola destructor as well as from Harmolita sp. H. cognatus was reared from Mayetiola destructor. It is not out of the question I believe, that in all cases in which these species have been recorded from Dipterous puparia, the real host was some primary Hymenopterous parasite. The type specimen mentioned above seems also to have been reared from some Harmo/ito-gall. Homoporus budensis Erd. was based on collected specimens. I have a single female of this species bread by Prof. Bálás from the galls of Xestophanes Szépligetii Bálás in the stems of Potentilla recta. The real host is unknown. I have bread Phaenacrinodes Kurdjumovi, described herewith, several times as a primary parasite of Timaspis papaveris Kieff living in the stems of Papaver somniferum. One male and five female specimens of this species were bread by Prof. Bálás from galls of Phanacis centaureae at Budapest. The real host has not been revealed. Key to the species of Homoporus Thorns, s. I. 1 (2) Left mandible with three, right mandible with four teeth (subg. Phaenacrinodes m.) : Kurdjumovi n. sp. 2 (1) Both mandibles quadridentate. 3 (8) Club not prolonged into a stylus, although often sharply pointed at apex ; male antennae of the same form as those of the female, only weakly hairy (subg. Pseudomerisus Erd. & Nov.). 4 (5) Funicle 1 ring-shaped, propodeum smooth : pulchripes Erd. 5 (4) Funicle 1 subequal to the following joint, antennae with but two ring joints, propodeum reticulate. 6 (7) Discal ciliae of the fore wings hyaline; abdomen green: ...stipae Erd. & Nov. 7 (6) Discal ciliae of the fore wings dusky, abdomen with reddish spot at base and ventrally : simplex n. sp. 8 (3) Antennái club prolonged into a distinct, mostly slightly curved stylus ; male antennae remarkably differing from those of the female, funicle joints covered with long hairs (subg.
