area some of the transverse markings reach the outer margin of the hemelytron. Membrane covered with pale zigzag-like spots, arranged radially along the margins ; left membrane distinctly paler interiorly thai) the right one. Membranal suture undistinctly marked. Pubescence of the hemelytra very scarce. The pale pattern of the pronotal disk and of the hemelytra does not dominate over the dark ground-colour. Metastemal xiphus long, arrow-shaped, pointed at the end. with concave lateral margins. Fore legs of the çfçf- The trochanter could not be examined. Femora without thickened hairs about the centre of the anterior surface. Tibiae three-edged towards the apex, with a spiniform bundle of still hairs before the end. Pala (fig. 16) as to shape and disposition of the single row of stridulatory teeth resembling much that of 8. (A.) Sahlbergi (FIEB.) or of 8. (A.) Linnéi (FIEB.). but much more narrowed apically. The number of stridulatory teeth was 20 on the single pala which I had for examination. Fore legs of the ÇÇ do not show abything remarcable. Intermediate claws distinctly shorter than the tarsi. Un the upper side of the hind femora a group of about 20 short spines. Strigil (fig. 17) large, elongated, with 7 — 9 partly abbreviated combs. Right forceps (fig. 18) falciform, comparatively narrow Left forceps (fig. 19) gradually narrowing towards the end. blunt at the apex. Inner sheath of the penis with two delicate, membranous appendices at the end. Length 8,5—9 mm. There can be no doubt that this species has to be placed in the subgenus Anticorixa JAOZ., as it is clearly shown by such morphological characters as the shape of the lateral lobes of the protborax, the shape of the pala of the çfcf, the large, elongated strigil and some others. Since the publication of my „Revision of the Polish Corixidae" 1 a certain number of Palaearctic Corixidae has been described, redescribed 1 Ann. Zool Mus. Pol. H. N., Warszawa : III, 1924; pp. 1—98.
