br. I.. SOOS AND II.WS SCHLESCH* at our disposal (ECKABDT'S paper, unfortunately, does not belong to them). Ihe reprocfuctive organs of Phenacolimax angelicae agrees in every essential feature with those of Ph. pellucidus. A difference seems to exist in the inosculation of Ihe spermatheca duct of both speeies. Phehdeolimax pellucidus seems, how r ever, to be the most variable even in this character, concluded from the figures of the different authors. According to the figures of A. SCHMIDT 21 ) and A. J. WAGNER 22 ), respectively, this duct enters the oviduct rather high; on LEHMANN'S 2 *) figure it enlers the lowest• part of the former, SIMROTH 21 ) figures il as discharging into the atrium, and finally HESSE (1. c.) writes that the vagina is, according to WTEGMANN'S drawings, very short, sometimes scarcely perceptible, i. e. the spermatheca duct inosculates into the vagina. bnt sometimes at least, into the lowest part of it. Though the spermatheca duct of Phenaeolimax angelieae enters constantly the atriurn, yet this character may not be regarded, in our opinion. as of a specific valtie, but as a more extreme lying on the limil of the variability of the inosculation of the spermatheca duct in Phenacolimax pellucidus, in other words Phenacolimax ahgelieae anatomically can not be separated from Phenacolimax pellueidus, it cannot be separated upon the basis of exlernal characters either, therefore Vitrina angelicae (MOLLJ) is to be regarded as a synonyme of Phenaeolimax pellucidus (MTJLLI). This is shown also by Ihe structure of the radula, the marginale teeth of vvhich are serrulate like those of Ph. peUucidus. 2. Euconulus fulvus (MTJLL.). Tbis species seems to occur in Grcenland only iu ils south-western parls unlil (54° 11' (Kavssinguak and Nisik near Godtliaab).
