) is as follows : „Testa subperforata, cylindracea, ovata, tenuis, subtilissime striatula, epidermide brunnea saepe alba, nitida, pellucida; spira convexo-conica ; anfr. 5 vel 7 Vs convexi, sutura profunda, antice ascendens : columella plica obtusa, paries aparturalis plica coinpressa fere mediana; apertura subtriangularis, peristoma reflexiusculum, labro externo modice arcuato. denticulo obsoletisshno ante mediano." Our single spccimen (froiu Kuvssinguak, fig. 2 A) agrees with this description except that it has no palatal fold ; its columellar lamella is represented by a very low nodule ; its length 2*48, diam. 1"47 min. Already MORCH had noted that „it looks most ailied to Pupa arctica WALLENB. ", and a careful comparison with specimens of this lattcr has shown the accuracy of M6RCH'S remark, as is shown by fig. 2 B, the latter differing onJy by its having a palatal fold (which may be, however, absent), and stronger developed parietal and columellar lamellae.
