Márta Magyari They way from regional centre of detached farmsteads to socialist village The birth of Ebes - as narrated in the local press of that period The precursor of the still existing daily Hajdú-Bihari Napló, which is edited in Debrecen, the Néplap published several articles about the life in the villages of the county in the first half of the fifties. Besides information about the achievements of the agricultural production and the state of the compulsory produce delivery to the state, reports have been made about the work competitions too. Furthermore, articles used to appear from time to time, similar to a campaign, about newly organised socialist villages, among them about Ebes. My short contribution presents a selection of these articles. Neben Bekanntgabe der Ergebnisse der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion, des Standes der Pflichtablieferung wurde oft über die Arbeitwettbewerbe berichtet. Daneben erschienen von Zeit zu Zeit - meistens einer Kampagne ähnlich - Artikel über die neu organisierten sozialistischen Gemeinden, so auch über Ebes. Mein kurzer Bericht gibt eine Auswahl von diesen. 132
