An important exponáte of the historic model series of the air traffic collection is the model of the Wright brothers' airplane from 1903 that the museum has had made in 1973 on the basis of the genuine documentation (Pál Rév). The most ancient motor vehicle made in Hungary is the three-wheeled letter pick-up motor vehicle of the mail service that is one of the most precious pieces of the motor vehicle collection of the museum (Sándor Bálint). The first underground railway on the European continent was inaugurated in Budapest in 1896. Its first cars

—among them the wooden-panelled motor-cars

—are now precious relics of transport history, while their model in scale 1 :25 is an interesting object of the exhibition (Ágnes Medveczki). The matter of Part III of the Year-Book is completed by the catalogue of the business accounts of transport companies that forms a special collection of the library of the museum and the processed matter of which consists of some 350 publications (Jolán Barkóczi—István Tisza). At the end of the volume a bibliography can be found that enumerates the works of the members ofl the museum published in the years from 1971 until 1973 (Jolán Barkóczi).
