Z.sidi Paula Az aquincumi polgárváros déli városfalán kívül feltárt fürdő festett díszítése Az aquincumi polgárváros déli városfalán kívül álló, deversoriumhoz tartozó fürdő egv részének, illetve udvarának ásatása során előkerült falfestményeket sikerült nagyobb egységekben feltárni és a földből kiemelni. A 2002-ben feltárt terület egy részét már 1994-ben megnyitották, és nagyobb mennyiségű falfestmény anyagot tártak fel, (ZSIDI 1995, 44-48.) így számítani lehetett arra, hogy idén is találunk falfestményeket. Az 1. és 2. szelvényekből előkerült szórványos festménytöredékeken kívül a 3. számú szelvényben tártunk fel nagyobb, összefüggő felületet a szelvény azon részén, amelyet 1994-ben érintetlenül hagytak. A teljes falfestmény-felület feltárása után láthatóvá vált, hogy a töretion as the southern end of the building. As the earlier periods under it have not been unearthed, only their cross-sections gave us some information about them. A piece of Chiara Samian ware and a brick fragment are the most notable items among the finds. The figure of a man was incised into the surface of the latter while the material was still soft. The man's robes were fastened bv a characteristic disc brooch at his right shoulder. The depiction, which is reminiscent of representations on Early Christian lamps, and can thus, confidently be grouped among the Early Christian finds of Aquincum on the basis of its manufacture technique, genre and character (Fig. 4).
