5. Újabb régészeti feltárások az aquincumi katonaváros nyugati szélén (Madarassy Orsolya)

mait sikerült megfigyelnünk. A katonaváros kiürítése utáni periódusban - mint a San Marco utca 32 telken - egy későrómai segédcsapat temetkezett az elplanírozott épületek mentén. Néhány téglasírt csak megfigyeltünk, a kutatóárokban egy földsír edény- és gyöngymelléklete és egy melléklet nélküli csecsemősír került elő. A leletanyag alapján ez a temető egyik legkésőbbi parcellájához tartozhatott, a 4-5. század fordulójára keltezhető. A terület tulajdonosa, az IMMOBIL-INVEST Kft. a régészeti örökség védelmében a tervezett társasház alapozását átterveztette, így a telek teljes feltárásától eltekinthettünk. A Vályog utca 6. telek feltárása jelenleg is folyik. A területünktől északra lévő Vályog utca 8. telken 1995-ben (MADARASSY 1996, 5360.) egy kelet-nyugati irányú út, az ettől északra álló épület néhány helyisége, valamint a városrész feladása után létesített későrómai temető sírjai kerültek elő. Most az úttól délre lévő római épület utolsó periódusát sikerült megfigyelnünk. Ezt az épületet a 3. század első felében, Caracalla és Alexander Severus uralkodása között építették át, a területen előkerült nagymennyiségű falfestmény is erre az időszakra keltezhető. The owner of the lot, the IMMOBIL-INVEST Kft. redesigned the foundation of the block of flats in order to protect the archaeological heritage, so excavation of the entire lot was not necessary. The excavation of lot 6 Vályog Street has not yet been finished. Here too, the owner, the FICHERBAU Kft. redesigned the foundations of the deep garage so that the majority of the features from the 2
