The Government of the United Kingdom undertakes, subject to the provisions of Article 14 below a) To maintain in operation during the period of the present Agreement those provisions of the Sugar Industry (Reorganization) Act, 1936, designed to limit the annual production of sugar in Great Britain to a standard quantity of 560,000 long tons of white sugar (i. e., approximately 618,000 metric tons raw value). b) That during the period of the present Agreement the total exports from the British Colonial Empire shall be limited to a basic figure of 965,254 metric tons per quota year. Article 12. The Government of the Commonwealth of Australia undertakes, subject to the provisions of Article 14 below, to limit exports from Australia to a basic figure of 406,423 metric tons per quota year during the period of the present Agreement. Article 13. The Government of the Union of South Africa undertakes, subject to the provisions of Article 14 below, to limit exports from the Union to a basic figure of 209,000 metric tons per quota year during the period of the present Agreement. Article 14. a) The Government of the United Kingdom, the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and the Government of the Union of South Africa reserve the right respectively to increase the standard quantity for production in Great Britain and the basic quotas for exports of the Colonial Empire, Australia and South Africa, specified above, proportionately to any increase in requirements over and above the consumption requirements for the year ending the 31 st August, 1937, of the United Kingdom plus the aggregate of the net import requirements for that year of each of the other parts of the British Empire. Nagybritannia kormánya az alanti 14. szakasz rendelkezéseinek fenntartásával kötelezi magát, a) hogy a jelen egyezmény tartama alatt érvényban tartj a a cukoripar újjászervezésére vonatkozó törvénynek azokat a rendelkezéseit, amelyek Nagybritannia évi cukortermelését 560.000 hosszú tonna fehér cukor (a. m. megközelítőleg 618.000 metrikus tonna nyersérték) alapmennyiségre korlátozzák, b) hogy a jelen egyezmény tartama alatt a Brit Gyarmatbirodalom teljes kivitele kvótaévenkint 965.254 metrikus tonna alapmennyiségre marad korlátozva. 12. szakasz. Az Ausztráliai Államszövetség kormánya az alanti 14. szakasz rendelkezéseinek fenntartásával kötelezi magát, hogy a jelen egyezmény tartama alatt Ausztrália kivitelét kvótaévenkint 406.423 metrikus tonna alapmennyiségre korlátozza. 13. szakasz. A Délafrikai Unió kormánya az alanti 14. szakasz rendelkezéseinek fenntartásával kötelezi magát, hogy a jelen egyezmény tartama alatt az Unió kivitelét kvótaévenkint 209.000 metrikus tonna alapmennyiségre korlátozza. 14. szakasz, a) Nagybritannia kormánya, az Ausztráliai Államszövetség kormánya es a Délafrikai Unió kormánya fenntartják maguknak a jogot, hogy a fentiek szerint Nagybritannia részére megállapított alap termelési mennyiséget és a Gyarmatbirodalom, Ausztrália és Délafrika számára megállapított alapkiviteli kvótákat Nagybritanniának az 1937. évi augusztus hó 31-ével végződő év fogyasztási szükséglete és a Britbirodalom egyéb részeinek erre az évre vonatkozó tiszta beviteli szükséglete fölé emelkedő bármilyen szükséglet emelkedése esetén aránylagosan egyenkint felemeljék.
