174 cccxxxm. SZÁM. ARTICLE XII. On the Imperial and Royal Consular officer sending a written application to the Siamese Authorities, he shall receive from them every aid and support, in detecting and arresting saIIors or other citizens of the Austro Hungarian Empire or any * individuals under the Protection of the Imperial and Royal Consular flag. On the requisition of the Imperial and Royal Consular officer he shall also receive from the Siamese authorities every aid and assistance and such force as may be necessary to enable him to give due effect to his authority over the citizens of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and to enforce discipline amcng shipping of the AustroHungarian Monarchy in Slam. In like manner schould a Siamese guIIty of desertion or any other crime, take refuge in the house of a Citizen of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, or on board a vessel of this Empire the local Authorities shall adress themselves to the Imperial and Royal Consular officer and he shall on proof of the culpabIIity of the accused, immediately authorize his arrest. All concealment and connivance shall be carefully avoided, by both parthies. ARTICLE XIII. Schuld a citizen of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy engaged in business in the Kingdom of Siam become bankrupt, the Imperial and Royal Consular officer shall take possession of all his goods, in order that tho same may be distributed rateably amongst his creditors ; and the Consular officer shal

1 neglect no means to seize on behalf of Creditors all the goods the said Bankrupt may possess in other conutries, and the Consular oificer shall have che aid of the Siamese Authorities for this purpose. And. in like manner, the Siamese Authorities shall adjudicate and administer the effects of Siamese subjects, who may become bankrupt, in their commercial transactions with citizens of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. onek írásbeli megkereséseié kitelhető segítséget és pártfogást nyújtsanak a hajós legényeknek, vagy az osztr-magyar birodalom más alattvalóinak, és egyéb a cs. és kir. lobogó oltalma alatt álló személyeknek megkeritésére és elfogatására. Szintúgy a cs. ^es kir, consulatusi tisztviselő a siami hatóságoktól, ha hozzájuk folyamodik, minden szükséges segélyt és elegendő' legénységet nyerend a végből, hogy tekintélyének az osztr.magyar birodalom alattvalói fölött kellő érvényt szerezhessen, és a fegyelmet az osztr.-magyar tengerészeinél Siamban kényszereszközökkel is fentarthassa. Hasonló módon, ha valamely a szökés vagy más büntetésben vétkes siami, az osztr.-magyar birodalom egy alattvalójának házába vagy ezen állam egy hajójára menekült volna, az ottani hatóság a cs. és királyi consulsági tisztviselőhöz forduland, ki a vádlott bűnösségének bebizónyodasa után annak befogatását azonnal helybenhagyandja. A vétség minden eltitkolása és segítése mindkét részről a legnagyobb figyelemmel akadályozandó. XIH. CZIKK. Ha az osztr.-magyar monarchia valamely alattvalója, ki a siami királyságban üzletet folytat, fizetésképtelenné válnék, a csász. és kir. consulatusi tisztviselő Összes vagyonát lefoglalandja, hogy azt a hitelezők közt követeléseik arányában elosztassa, és minden módot kisértsen meg arra, hogy a hitelezők kielégítésére fordittassék azon vagyon is, melyet az IIlető vagyonbukott netán más országban bir. A siami hatóságok részéről a consulnak e végre minden kitelhető segély fog nyújtatni. Hasonlóképen a siami hatóságok azon siami alattvalók jószágát is oda itélendik és elosztandják, kik üzleti kötelmeiknek az osztrák-magyar birodalom alattvalói irányában eleget nem tehetnének. XIV.
